Out Loud Selected for Celebrating Life! 2026 Juried Exhibition

I’m honored to share that my triptych Out Loud has been selected for inclusion in the 26th Annual Celebrating Life! Juried Exhibition, presented by the City of Las Vegas Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City of Las Vegas Arts Commission.

The Celebrating Life! 2026 opening reception will be on May 29, 2026, at the Charleston Heights Arts Center. The exhibition runs through September 10, 2026.

Out Loud is a three-panel mixed media work exploring play, wonder, and unguarded expression through layered figurative imagery, collage, and pressed florals. The recurring blue figure moves through each panel, holding and interacting with a flower that gradually shifts from something observed into something activated. Fragments of philosophical text remain partially visible beneath the surface, suggesting the accumulation of thought, memory, and lived experience over time.

The work reflects an interest in the idea that joy, openness, and creative expression remain available to us over time. These states of being are not lost, but often buried beneath experience, routine, and self-consciousness.
